![]() ![]() You can't imagine what discovering that meant to me, since I had to be *very* careful with the seamoth until I managed to find the stasis rifle. Now I just need to zip through a cave with the seamoth and voila, instant powder. In fact, up until just a week ago the only way I got crash powder for 100+ hours of gameplay was stasising them inside the pod and then trigger the explosion, because I thought the powder came from the flowers and not the crashes themselves. The only thing I've used it for is maps, later on. I know I never looked at a wiki for progression. But I'd wager people without prior knowledge would become incedibly frustrated and pack it in before experiencing the joy of building a small base and exploring to upgrade it. Maybe it's because I have prior knowledge. This progression seems difficult, offputting, and silly. Either way I have to take time to get there. Either I make a network of pipes (which I did my very first game) or several hopscotch base rooms. I got the signal (finally) for the jellyshroom, but to get into it and down far enough without having a base to come back to? Silly. ![]() Hell, if I hadn't played the game before, I'd never know where to look for the islands, or the jellyshroom cave. If I was new and didn't know to look in the small cave tunnel formations, I'd be shrugging my shoulders. To me, it felt like crashfish exploded MUCH harder than they used to. Labelling your first base area a 'corridor' makes no sense.Īlso, fixing the lifepod got ridiculous. Why not just make reinforcements a progression lock? But it allows you to get a little deeper and you know. The multipurpose room is just a basic airpocket for storage. I have Seamoth plans and half of all cyclops parts. Escape pod still bugs out, surround it with pipes so it won't run off and then I come back ones it's tilted 30 degrees or so one way. Obivously without a starting MP-room and alien containment I can't do jack-all with those eggs so they sit on the ocean floor under my pod. And when the Crash do respawn they leave nothing in the plant, no eggs nor powder so they have been a use-once only commodity. Still have ship wreckage popping up above the surface of the water when I swim far enough away from the escape pod and swim back, bam lots of twisted metal just hanging in the air.saw that bug since I first got Subnautica a long time ago and it kills immersion.Ĭhanging the Crash Powder so it's either eggs or powder isn't cool at this time, I got 4 eggs before getting a single Crash Powder. Aurora changes are cool overall, fire extinguishers have a use now. Lack of MP-Room at beginning is just odd. Adds no challenge, just wastes your time. The extra time needed in the fabricator for some items.zero point in that. Overall I'd say this patch was a large step forward and a few small steps back after playing a good bit. ![]()
